York Community Fund is a local, long-term fund to support people and communities in York.
It is a sustainable source of funding for charitable and grassroots community organisations enabling them to apply for funding for activities and services that support local people.
Projects supported by York Community Fund address issues to benefit people and communities in York around:
- Equality & human rights
- Affordability & the cost of living
- Health & wellbeing
- Climate action

Since launching in 2024, we have run two panels for the York Community Fund. Here is what we’ve awarded:
2025
In 2025, we awarded £145,300 supporting 48 groups. This round included 41 micro grants to help fill gaps in local provision and seven collaboration grants, giving community leaders time to reflect, learn and strengthen partnership working.
