Meet our five new trustees supporting us as we enter out next chapter
We are delighted to introduce five new trustees to the Two Ridings board. These trustees bring a wide range of experience and a strong connection to the communities we serve across North and East Yorkshire.
They are joining us during a very special milestone: our 25th anniversary. It is a poignant moment to reflect on how far we have come and look ahead to the future.
Three of our new trustees, Antonia Consett, Seb Glazer and Michelle Hayes, have already joined the board, while Dr Franklin Onukwugha and Chris Binns are set to join them in January 2026.
“We’re thrilled to welcome these inspiring individuals as we celebrate 25 years of impact and look to the future,” said Celia McKeon, Chief Executive at Two Ridings Community Foundation. “Each new trustee brings valuable skills, insight, and a deep passion for our communities that will help us shape the next chapter of our work. It is an exciting time to be joining the Foundation, and we are looking forward to working with each of them.”
Antonia Consett
Antonia is a Senior Investment Manager for JM FINN and has been recognised as one of the Top 100 wealth managers in the UK. She’s served on several boards and strongly believes in the role of community-led organisations to create lasting impact.
Antonia is looking forward to bringing her financial expertise to the table and giving back to support communities across the region.
Seb Glazer
Seb is the founder and Managing Director of the Vulcan Centre, a Hull-based charity that uses sport and study to help young people build confidence, respect and self-belief. Seb knows first hand how challenging and rewarding this work can be, and he is passionate about being a voice for the voluntary sector.
Seb’s open, honest approach and roots in the sector make him a powerful advocate for grassroots organisations across the region. He is keen to make sure the people doing the work on the ground have the tools they need to thrive.
Michelle Hayes
Michelle is the founder and CEO of Resurrected Bites, which reduces food waste by creating pay-as-you-feel community cafés and affordable groceries across Harrogate. Like Seb, she has experience of running a charity, meeting people where they are and helping tackle food insecurity with dignity and kindness.
Michelle is committed to ensuring local needs are reflected at all levels.
Two members will be joining the board in January 2026.
Dr Franklin Onukwugha
Franklin is a Senior Lecturer and Community Leader at Youth Aspire Connect, an award-winning charity that helps young people from disadvantaged backgrounds reach their potential. With a PhD in Social Policy from the University of Hull and extensive grassroots and academic experience, Franklin brings a unique insight of academic insight and lived experience.
Franklin is looking forward to supporting more inclusive grant-making that reflects the real challenges people face
Chris Binns
Chris is a Partner at Barnett Waddingham and an experienced investment consultant. Over his career he has worked closely with charities, not-for-profits and organisations of all shapes and sizes.
Chris is a proud Yorkshireman, and he is keen to combine his love for our region with his professional experience to help make a real difference
“As we reflect on 25 years of strengthening communities, we’re also focused on building the future. These new trustees are a vital part of that journey, and we are excited to have them join us.” Richard Frith, Chair of Trustees, shared with us.
These five new trustees bring fresh ideas, lived experience and a shared commitment to the values that have shaped our work for over 25 years. We’re glad to have them working alongside us, and we look forward to what we’ll achieve together.
