Seb Glazer
Trustee
Seb Glazer is the founder and managing director of the Vulcan Centre, a charity in Hull. Seb is a registered social worker and former probation officer, and has previously completed degrees in Hull, London and Sheffield. His doctorate is in UK Politics, exploring British social policy and the role of the public and private sectors.
Seb has supported children, young people and families for over 15 years, specialising in tackling the effects of poverty and disadvantage. His experience developing the Vulcan Centre and leading it through some tough times has given him a real understanding of the challenges facing voluntary and community groups right now. Because of this, he’s keen to be a voice for other not-for-profit organisations and help Two Ridings support them in any way he can.
In his spare time, he loves getting out into the Yorkshire countryside and going for long walks with his three Staffordshire bull terriers, Betsy, Faith and Luna. He also has a tortoise called Keith. Seb is both an amateur and professional boxing coach, and he volunteers daily to train aspiring athletes, combining his love of sport with his passion for helping others.
